Hypena

Cookie Policy

Effective date: TBD · Hypena Marketplace

This Cookie Policy explains how Hypena uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) when you visit our websites or use the Hypena marketplace. It is read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login state, language, or items in a multi-vendor cart) over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them on every visit.

2. The Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are essential to operate the Platform. They cannot be turned off in our systems because they are required for core functionality.

  • Authentication and session management (so you stay logged in).
  • Security tokens (e.g. CSRF protection).
  • Load balancing and routing.
  • Multi-vendor cart state.

2.2 Functional

These cookies remember choices you make to provide a more personalised experience, such as your preferred locale (en / ru / hy) and theme (light / dark). They are set only when you change a preference.

2.3 Analytics

We do not currently set analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics in future — for example, to count unique visits, measure page-load performance, or identify broken flows — we will use a privacy-respecting tool that does not build behavioural profiles for advertising, update this policy, and request your consent before any non-essential analytics cookies are set.

2.4 Marketing / advertising

We do not currently set marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent before any such cookies fire.

3. Your Choices

The Platform currently uses only strictly-necessary and functional cookies. Strictly-necessary cookies do not require consent, and functional cookies are set only when you actively change a preference (such as your language or theme); for this reason no cookie-consent banner is shown at this time. If we introduce non-essential cookies (such as analytics or marketing), we will present a consent banner and add a “Cookie Preferences” control so you can accept, reject, or customise them before they are set.

Most browsers also let you control or delete cookies through their settings; refer to your browser’s documentation for details. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break core features such as login.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-wide standard for interpreting DNT, our Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals; instead, we honour your explicit choices made through our consent banner.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some services we use may set their own cookies (for example, embedded payment widgets). Those cookies are governed by the third party’s own cookie policy. We disclose the categories of third parties in the Privacy Policy.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and announced via the consent banner on your next visit.
